| Comment | It’s so cliche on this sub to hate on anywhere that isn’t the West End or some parts of the South Side. I’ve lived in the West End before and yeah it’s nice, but it isn’t for everyone and it isn’t the _only_ option. The Greater Glasgow area is huge and lots of areas have benefitted from gentrification and improvements over the years. I’ve have family and coworkers in EK and I’m not far (Hamilton) myself and I wouldn’t move back to the West End now, it doesn’t suit my needs or lifestyle.
I’ve seen real poverty and the some of the most deprived areas in the UK. Seeing the privilege and naivety on this sub sometimes really makes me eye roll. |
