I swim in Loch Dumbrock outside Milngavie quite a bit. Somebody mentioned Loch Lomond but you have to find the right spot up there as it can be a bit unsafe and not so accessible by car in certain spots. Dumbrock is very accessible, safe and close to Glasgow. There will be other swimmers there each morning too.
