Comment | Most damp issues are not caused by 'rising damp' but either by condensation (ie moisture from within not getting out, moisture arising from cooking, cleaning, showering, breathing, drying clothes') or moisture getting in from outside, through a fault in the building structure. A damp patch near a window will almost certainly either be a faulty window (there's a gap) or condensation gathering on the panes and dripping down. |
