If it’s just for a weekend I’d probably site myself in a city centre hotel. There’s loads. Your only issue is the Cop26 stuff which has booked out every hotel for miles.
Have a think about what kind of nightlife you’d want to access and I’m sure we can recommend a nearby hotel so that you’re not wandering alone at night.
