Pubs have always been the ideal place to sell your stolen shite to make a quick few quid.
Always loved getting approached by the pirate DVD guys in the pubs in the toon. One just off Argyle Street (near M&S, can't remember the name, but old man type pub) seemed to have a guy in there constantly doing good business.
