Comment	yeah. the thing that pushed me into learning how to drive was living in EK and having to deal with first bus. i think the worst example of first bus was a night when i was meeting my friend in town for drinks. i lived near the start of the 18 bus route and they were meant to be every 20 mins before 8 and every 30 mins after 8. i showed up at the bus stop around 6pm (in 2 degree cold). timetable said next bus was 6:05, so i waited. 6:25 rolled round, still no bus. 6:45? nope. 7:05? nope. 7:25? nope. 7:45? nope. so at this point, i was sick and tired of waiting. dude comes up to me with a knife telling me he wanted my ipod (that dates this story) i didn't want any trouble and just handed it over and called the police with a description of the dude and my ipod (i got it second hand and it had the message "to my darling daughter, Megan" on it. just as the police arrive.... so does my bus. i can't get on the bus because i gotta talk with the police about it. 2 hours later, i got my ipod back and i'm too cold and tired to go for drinks with my friend. if my bus had arrived on time, i would have been fine. thankfully, i live in glasgow now and can cycle more. however, i've noticed first bus drivers are less than happy when you're in a space they want to occupy. the amount of times i've had first bus drivers try to force me off the road by driving in the painted bike path is insane.
