| Comment | When I was an apprentice I used to go down to the wee shop to pick up everyone’s rolls. At least once a week there would be a wee guy outside (dressed well, not homeless) and he’d ask for 10/20p whatever, but he’d ask lots of people. He’d then go in to the shop, mind this is like 10am, but a few cans of whatever beer is cheapest and then go into the bookies next door.
So my 10/20p didn’t buy him the cans, but it certainly helped him get them. |
