| Comment | I've lived here since '92 until 2008, I came back in 2018 and clearly like the place & the people but that is *despite* GCC. I have seen far too many things they have fucked up. I have watched while community centres are shutdown (and campaigned against) whilst they spunk *fuck knows* how much on "rebranding".
I and **happy** this has been announced, but I have less than zero confidence that it will be delivered. I have simply seen far too many failures.
A working active travel system really is all or nothing. If it doesn't integrate totally, it fails. Completely.
I know it can't happen overnight, and that's fine, but there needs to be a holistic vision of the city and given everything I have seen....no such vision exists.
Fuck sake, we don't even have integrated bus, rail, and subway tickets. JFC. *BASICS PEOPLE, basics*. Fuck the grand plans. Do the basics first. |
