| Comment | Take a photo of their work van, make sure the number plate is clearly visible. Find a way to ask for a business card from them without arousing suspicion. The best option would be to contact the council, let them know it’s a matter of urgency and have them visit while the work is taking place. The landlord will be liable for damages incurred on the drainage. No doubt he’ll try and shift the blame onto the builders/tradesmen but once they finish and leave, the council will have a hard time chasing them so act before they leave. |
