Just heard a scientist on Radio 4 saying it could possibly be visible down to Newcastle and the best time was 9 to 11 pm tonight.
She also said if you have a camera with a long exposure and a tripod to just take a pic of the sky even if you cannot see an aurora. Apparently this has captured faint aurora in the past.
