Stopping benzos even over a short period will result in very very serious and horrible shit. Cold turkey after prolonged use will almost always end in hospital or worse. Coming of 'street' blues seems to have a much higher risk of psychotic episodes than coming off the real thing. He probably wants to assess you for a couple months 'stable' (for a given value of 'stable') before he makes a call. |
