A bit of old Edinburgh lore was how to get into the Waverley toilets without paying.
(There was a gate for the cleaners/service people halfway down the barrier dividing the "In" and "Out" lines, and the turnstiles were at opposite ends. So you could walk down the "Out" walkway and just go through behind the "In" turnstiles. Stole many a shite from Network Rail that way.)
