| Comment | That's amazing - I wish I had had the fortitude to insist on these sorts of things earlier in my marriage. I'm just back from a ten day trip to visit family where I lived in a flat on my own and it was incredible. I stayed up to 2am just to enjoy the solitude. Took me right back to when I was newly independent, living in my own tiny little flat after uni. I've done solo cinema trips before but it's always a tough negotiation with my dear spouse who thinks that every experience is better if you have someone else with you ("Noooooooo, it's not," Yours sincerely, All Introverts). Now I need to work out a nice way of saying "I want to do more solo trips". |
