I don't think it's anti development as such, but more anti developers. You and I both know what Tradeston is going to look like in five years time and thats basically the same as any major development of this kind in any other major city in the UK. They are identikit rubbish and that area will soon be full of starbucks, Costas, All Bar one's, Slug and Lettuce, Leon and a Pret A Manger horrendous places that take no interest or play a part in the local community.

And the reason for this is that all across the country for the last 12 years, councils have been decimated, budgets have been decimated, services and resources cut, time and time again. The quickest way for the councils to make a lot of money and make up that shortfall is to sell off land to these huge corporations or into the hand of a small bunch of wealthy developers, who build their shitty buildings, make a mint and then fuck off, it's rinse and repeat all over the country.
