Except in the private sector if they can only hire 4 folk who want 80k vs 5 folk who want 50k, nothing happens except maybe the company loses money or the staff get overworked.

What happens when a school can't hire the required amount of teachers because of the massive pay discrepancy that'll either hike salaries altogether, or force potential employees to a council area with higher funding, leaving already underfunded schools with either not enough teachers or too many bad ones?

Apply that same scenario to waste collection, nursing, whatever you want and think of the results.

The public sector is not the private sector, there isn't an unlimited pool of money. Your model is ridiculous.
