It’s not controversial to help people from starving and acting like anyone here is saying otherwise is being disingenuous at best.

Do you work for these people or something? Rescuer syndrome or being a white saviour comes to mind.

There are ways people can get help. Efforts would be better spent signposting people in need to the safe, available help rather than causing an unnecessary risk.

The fact this has happened multiple times yet a solution is never sought edges this on the political rather than the helpful. In my opinion, at least.
