I've had to report a few small matters to the police. Each and every time, they've spent time with me to talk things through and try to help. One time they actually managed to arrest a chap after about 3 months or searching, and even called me to let me know.
It's not the fact they don't care, it's the fact there isn't really anything they can do. Unless you saw the person who done it and took a picture, what are they meant to do?
If you report it, they'll check for any CCTV but there normally isn't any. They might raise a report for more officers to patrol your area but other than that, there is nothing anyone can do. |
