Can attest to this, i’m a Vietnamese student at UoG and i have a fair share of agents trying to rip me off. Especially since the law means that you would have to have a UK guarantor or pay 3 months rent up front. Many will tell you that since the demand is too high right now, you have to pay 6 months or 1 year in advance or they wont give the flat to you.
But Stirling is def a good recommendation since it’s only 30 mins by train to Glasgow and it’s a very cute town too. I found the people quite friendly but again, not sure if that would be the case w agents.
