I’m not sure in terms of violence, but the city in general **looks** much worse than I can recall. It’s an absolute dump. Walked through town yesterday and, perhaps exacerbated due to the weather, it seemed like waltzing through fucking Pripyat. Grim. I’ve said before that the city will of course be tarted up for the world’s media, but it’ll revert to the same old afterwards.
