They tried to 'Modernise' it a few years back, changed the name, but eventually changed it back for whatever reason.
It looks a lot brighter inside than it used to be after the renovation, and I think a lot of the old-man-pubness has gone (and I think most of them migrated to Orwells when they tried changing the name)
