Neither of these (or any other measures) are a sure thing though, and I fear some people will be stuck with no alternative but to use conventional electric heaters (expensive) and we'll also see daisy-chained extension cords (suitable for outdoor use if you're lucky) covering pavements in dense residential areas.

Consider someone with no driveway, cycling to work in the rain, alongside HGVs and electric cars, their occupants warm, dry, and comfortable. It's a situation almost perfectly designed to gain dedicated enemies of the environment. |
