The Housing Association is and has been actively purchasing properties from owners for the last number of years and Right To Buy no longer exists in Scotland. The combination of those two things means that the pool of social housing properties in Govanhill has actually increased in recent years meaning that despite the on going gentrification of the area and the inevitable increase in property prices, there is still going to be a large proportion of the properties in the area which are social housing and that population will always be well represented. |
