Also, as an aside, I do think it’s totally inappropriate to “celebrate” a life that has been ended tragically short (whether an incident like this or a car accident, etc.) - it should be a minute silence. The applause or “celebration” should be used for those who have led a full life and died of natural causes or illness. (Obviously this is context dependent but this should be, IMO, the general rule.) |
