a) Glasgow City Council are now broke and no longer have the cash to do anything with it.
b) GCC always seems to have held Alexander Thompson's work in contempt for some inexplicable reason. That is why there is so little left, and why preserving the Egyptian Halls is so important.
If it was by Mackintosh then any millions needed would have been found long ago. |
