With respect I think you’ve largely imagined this (through some sort of confirmation bias) - if anything I’ve noticed a decrease in the number of beggars out and about in the centre.

And the only beggars I see southside are addicts and Romani gang members, I can’t recall ever seeing someone that wasn’t fraudulently claiming homelessness (Romani gangs) or on drugs/drink (before anyone asks - you can usually tell: nodding out, pissed themselves through drink etc).

For the record there was a stop on evictions for over a year with Covid and even with that ended, I very much doubt you’d see a huge increase of evictions with the backlog in the courts, turn around times etc since then. Not enough time has passed.

It’s a shame there is such a high number of people making fictitious asylum claims being welcomed in Glasgow (let’s welcome real refugees, not frauds) as they’ve taken up all the hotel and housing accommodation that could go to the homeless who need it.
