A man that used to manage me a few years ago, who now is probably in his mid fifties told me he had his degree in computer science after the age of thirty and had already his three children. We bonded over sharing how hard and stressful it is to work and study. I was the first to open up and complain but when he told me he had a family and three children already I never complained again. He is a great manager too, I loved working under his guidance.

I understand that it is scary and it will be difficult but the way to think about this is looking forward and not backwards. You have at least 30more years of work in front of you, do you want to spend them this way?
