Does anyone else think George Square could benefit from some development? It's surrounded by some incredibly impressive architecture yet the square itself is extremely unappealing. Massive slab of tarmac basically. I feel like getting rid of the tarmac, replacing it with grass and planting more trees would be reasonably cheap and make it look twice as good.

Check out [this square](https://i.imgur.com/PU5n0hP.jpg) I found in Paris. Something like this would be very achievable. It would be a much nicer introduction to the city for people coming out of the train station.
