They usually do a joke or poem in return for sweets.
Egging isn’t traditionally scottish- but I won’t lie and say it doesn’t happen. It’s never happened anywhere I’ve lived but there’s always someone unlucky.
For adults it usually revolves around pub/club theme nights. There’s not much on that evokes the original spirit of the holiday (Samhain). |
