| Comment | A few months back my boss and I were messing about with one of those auto text mailers you can sign up for online, it's surprisingly scary what you can get away with if you link it to something as simple as a company bank account and email.
We were setting it up to put reminders for some staff to do things like set the burglar alarms and turn off the heating at the end of shifts.
While we were messing with it, he actually sent me a text that showed as NHS and gave me a fake vaccine appointment date, would be so easy to link something dodgy to that.
The only thing I did was send some spam texts to my pals pretending to be the Holy See and asking why they hadn't been at Mass recently.
The bad thing with this is that you have no real traceable phone number, and it would probably be easy as all hell to make some shell companies to move on quickly if you did get reported. |
