I both love and hate Wetherspoons for this. I hate it because, well, it's not great. But they've got wifi and sockets so I sometimes go with a laptop and have a few pints when I need to do boring, mindless tasks online. It's basically the alcoholic version of going to a Costa/Starbucks/Caffe Nero.
