Cycle lanes are hit and miss. Some brilliant ones and some terrible. The main issue is they are not well connected so you need to go on the road. The really bad ones are so dangerous you need to cycle in traffic instead. Sometimes car drivers don't understand this.

Pedestrians are generally fine but still not used to bikes and they just walk out at junctions and bike lanes. I think you need to take extra care as a cyclist in parts of Glasgow

Standards of cycling. I would say there is a mix of cyclists out there. Generally cyclists are well behaved but I am seeing more and more bad use of the road. Personally I think the massive spike in battery assist bikes, , especially the deliveroo types, is leading to some terrible and dangerous situations. I also think a lot of them are 'chipped' and are especially mopeds on pavements.

Cars and drivers are not good in Glasgow (not everyone but enough to make it scary being on a bike). I have cycled in a lot of city's and Glasgow is the worst for car and bikes. The drivers either don't know or don't care about sharing the road and a lot don't know how to overtake a bike safely. Not everyone, but in Glasgow I notice it so much more than anywhere else.

I cover 5k miles a year around Glasgow on my bike.
