Hey there! It can be a bit intimidating to enter these gyms solo but you'll typically find friendly coaches and attendees. Pad work you're paired with one person so it usually forces some social interaction. If you're new a reputable gym will pair you with someone both friendly and experienced to show you the ropes.

I've done muay thai for best part of eight years and trained ag a few places. Currently at Boxfit/POS which is a very friendly gym and the coach Gary is best I've had in terms of technical knowledge along with just being a good cunt.

Griphouse has great coaches and a variety of martial arts options including some boxing. It's busy as hell but in a good way as meet a large variety of folks.

My sister trains at the Glasgow Boxing Academy and seems to like it. The other option for just boxing city centre wise is Kynoch's which is popular.

Newlife in Maryhill is another mma gym and looks no bad.

Any questions don't hesitate to ask. There's a few poor trainers out there shilling on IG worth avoiding and a couple of mcdojos best swerved.
