| Comment | I always check my bill , ask for the auto grat to be removed and then leave in cash at the very least what the auto gratuity was and more often than not a little more . Here’s just a few reasons why.
1 - I don’t trust any company in the hospitality industry to pass on 100% of the tips
2- whatever the servers do get will be taxed . I’d prefer that didn’t happen
3- if its cash then there’s a good chance they will take it home that night , or if they pool together as a team within the next week or 2 rather than having to wait till payday. |
