I’ve noticed a lot of places including a service charge that didn’t pre-lockdown. I always check if the service charge goes to the server. If it doesn’t, I ask to take it off and tip separately.
We were in London for half term and everywhere down there does it, even some pubs when it was drinks only (but ordered and served to the table). Most places were 12.5% (one was 14%). |
