| Comment | I asked my GP for a referral to which he was extremely hesitant but after demanding he referred to the Adult Mental Health team. Once I managed to speak to one of the psychologists there and explained my issues the psychologist agreed to refer me to the ADHD diagnostic service.
I think I waited 2.5 years but there was probably COVID delay in there. I had two face to face appointments one where I discussed why I’d asked for a referral and what my difficulties were, the second was a diagnostic questionnaire. I have been offered meds but haven’t started them yet. |
