How often do you see seemingly successful independent restaurants that pay their staff minimum wage go under, pretty often. Paying staff more per hour wouldn’t be an issue but for the fact increasing rent, tax, rates, minimum alcohol pricing and the countless other mandatory government requirements has crippled the hospitality industry. Stop blaming business owners who are creating jobs and blame the government that’s made it impossible to expand or even survive long term with their red tape.
