Don't forget the walk-in centres for things that are urgent, but not an emergency.
e.g. (from personal experience) chisel through the finger. It was still attached, still worked, and I had access to a proper first aid kit so could deal with the wound swiftly enough....but kinda wanted it checked out without waiting for a GP.
