No as the motorists actions aren’t linked to yours.
It doesn’t stop you from being an asshole in this situation. I get that lots of cyclists do this but it doesn’t make it right.
I personally (will accept I’m an asshole too) slow right down and go through a red light only if it’s not a main road and there are no cars or pedestrians about. I mean really go through at crawling pace so I don’t need to stop and unclip. If there’s even a slight doubt in my mind there could be someone else around I’ll stop. |
