| Comment | People in the US don't have to live like people in India. That was an extreme example to illustrate my point.
These necessary changes include better public transport infrastructure, eating less meat, consuming less plastic, more nuclear power/renewables etc. None of those things are a massive reduction in quality of life.
Westerners are just so obsessed with consumption that any deviation from abundance seems like misery. |
