I wouldn't recommend anyone to hit the hills in trainers. These hills are great and can all be done in a day but at this time of year heading to the hills without proper gear would be reckless. Boots, waterproof jacket and warm gear a must. But yeah, arrochar has some wonderful day trips in the hills.
