Comment	You do realise it's not only council tax that pays for things? Even if council tax didn't exist, local government still get a budget and money to spend from central government... You know how this works, surely, right? So they don't actually need to raise council tax to pay their workers decent wages. Cental government should be increasing the amount of money given to local authorities.
