| Comment | They don’t need to be deputised. This isn’t America. The Chief Constable of Scotland has made a mutual aid request to the home office for the duration of COP. Under PACE (I believe) and the police act, when a request is made from a warranted Constable, to another Constable, the powers the asking Constable holds are given temporarily to the asked Constable, meaning; The Met & other Home Office and Special constabularies (BTP, MoD Police & CNC) has as much jurisdiction as PolScot to enforce laws within Scotland.
You need to be careful with what you’re saying; it’s very incorrect and it’ll earn you some shiny new bracelets for breaching the peace or preventing a Constable in the lawful act of duty etc. |
