Or you could perhaps say, "no" when dealing with plastics aimed at kids from McDonald's or whatever. Buy them toys that last. Make stuff with them from recycled goods. Buy from secondhand shops. There's a kinderhandle off cathcart that is completely secondhand clothing and toys just for children and it's all in great condition.
