| Comment | The thing with Hyperoptic is that their fibre network isn't the same one that other ISPs are using. So they can't just hook it up with the existing cabling if it's present. I had an engineer out to my flat, which is a newer build. I knew someone in the building had Hyperoptic cos I could see the name on the available wifi networks on my laptop.
My installation was pretty easy. The cables got put through a maintenance pipe, then a hole got drilled in my boiler cupboard and then through to my living room. Was really quick and painless to be honest.
Speed is unreal. I went from 10-11mbps to just under 500mbs down and like 400 up. Can download a big game off steam in like a few minutes. |
