Paisley. You can get a decent flat in the centre for half what you might pay in Glasgow. There aren't a lot of shops but there is a lot of nice wee pubs and coffee shops opening. They're also regenerating the old museum and library and there's a lot of students too. I moved from Paisley nearly two years ago and get very homesick for it.
