Taking cash and having two or three kitties on the go will make the bar staff's lives much easier. A kitty is where you put x amount of money each in and buy the drinks from there rather than rounds. Having two or three folk nominated to go to the bar at a time will be far easier than a beleaguered barkeep trying to put together an order for 15 people.

Additionally, the wee pubs on the Southside can be great - much cheaper than the west end pubs. The only one I would consciously avoid is the Ibrox Louden. I don't know what it's like now it has been taken over but ten years ago when I last did a subcrawl it was grim as fuck. Like the bookies from Trainspotting.

Definitely don't be afraid to eat something when you're about halfway round, say, Partick because you'll be really leathered and that will soak things up a bit.

Oh aye and get a day ticket on the subway instead of individual tickets. You can use it as many times as you like. Get a responsible person to keep them safe and dish them out at every stop.
