Not sure about average rents at the moment as not looking but can advise about a few things to remember when working out budgets.

You’ll need a deposit and that was one months rent last time I was looking to rent.

Council tax might not be included in bills so check how much that will cost

Work out a budget for food and what you’ll be able eat for that.

Even with all of this, it’s good to have a bit of an emergency fund too if you are in the position to do so.

It can be tempting to not get renters insurance to save money, but if something happens it can be very pricey without it leaving you in a very difficult position.
