We looked at the same house, don’t know your circumstances obviously but we have kids and we’re told that the primary schools they would be in catchment for are massively over subscribed.
Apparently there are children around there being sent to Schools in Barrhead and most of the newer build in NM will be the same.
Nothing wrong with Barrhead incidentally but houses are cheaper there if schools are your driver.
Might not be the reason why people are moving, it’s also close enough to the M77 to get motorway noise/pollution but thought it was worth mentioning.
We were close to putting in a bid on a house in Bearsden too, until we went to see it last Saturday and realised it’s right under a low level flight path.
It’s a nightmare finding a new house just now..
