I live at the top of a steep hill in Renfrewshire that starts with a single track road that then goes to a non-paved road. Even with a decent 4WD with high/low ratio gearboxes we still can’t get out for many days each season. The bin lorries and school buses can’t get to us for a good 2 to 4 weeks or so each winter.

How is that selfish having a car that can get my kids to school and get food etc to support us?
