Comment | Not true. I don’t know your specific circumstances but COP has had a knock on effect on the entire city.
For example the Expressway and Dumbarton Rd being closed has rerouted traffic through Govan and Paisley Rd West.
During normal times when the M8 eastbound gets busy, motorists escape it by going through the Clyde Tunnel and on to the expressway. Now they are going into Sheildhall, Govan and Paisley Rd.
The 34A goes through Shieldhall, Govan and a section of Paisley Rd West.
Then there are other things to think about with a transport operation. Like the driver duty. They may drive a 75 on the first part of a shift and a 34 on the second part. They can get stuck in protest activity or delays while on a 75. They then become late for their break and because they are drivers, by law they must take that break before they can move on the next part of their duty on the 34. This means that the 34 gets cancelled until such times the driver is legally allowed to operate it.
Very ifs and buts scenario but with the last few weeks thats the kind of disruption that happens. |
